One of the reason why i post this information is for you guys to know the process if your overpaid your SSS ( Social Security Service ) loan. When i was browsing online looking for any forum about SSS over payment, the only thing that i got is that SSS never process refund for this and that was the last update that i got reading a forum in 2010 and since i have the same case, i really went to SSS just to see what will happen. But before going to their office make sure to make your own investigation first.
As you can see government loan requires a full payment if you are resigning on your current company, so what i strongly suggest is to register online and check your monthly loan payment and if you see that you over pay, print it our and go to SSS.

- Go to Counter 1 under General Information to get your form for over-payment.
- Go to the next counter and follow the long queue and wait for you turn to give your form.
- Don't forget to bring 2 Valid Id for their verification.
After that wait for 1month to get your cheque. :) It is just an easy process but you need to have a long patient to finish it. I hope this one is helpful.
UPDATE as of July 2, 2012:
I went to SSS 3 times and they said that they just send my information to their head office. The 2nd time I go there last May they said that the person who's fixing the refund is on leave and they don't know if it was fix or not. Until now been waiting for it and they said that they will sent the check via mail. Good luck!
UPDATE as of January 07, 2013:
2 months ago, I called SSS and ask for any updates regarding my refund, there's been a -Php xxxxxx amount on my online SSS account I though that cheque is on its way, pero ang sabi wala paraw status and it is still pending, their customer service cannot answer any question mag 1 year na at wala parin.
UPDATE as of November 21, 2014:
So mag 2 years na pala. I called SSS MAIN Office to make a follow up last week. kung ano na nagyari sa request ko na refund cheque. So ano nangyare? Kalimutan na lng pala. I applied a loan last year August 2013 sabi nila sakin I deduct na lng daw sa 2nd loan ko para palit bayad. I will post an update kung totoo mang tong process na ibabawas sa loan.
UPDATE as of June 15, 2017
So it is already 4 years, the last time I ask help from our HR is 2 years ago. They provided another slipt and no update until now. I don't know how will our government handled this type of issue, i called their call center they said they will process it but nothing happen. The number they provided at the SSS main office no one is answering. I just Hope DU30 will talk look at this. For your milyon na ang kinita ng SSS sa mga over payments. I will try to ask for 3 days leave. Let us see if makaka kuha ako ng Good News ngayon!

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI have the same case here. Yung previous company ko paid all of my loans na pala as of october last year however dun sa online account ko sa sss, it was just posted this march lang, so the total overpayment ko was almost 4k na. Im about to resign sa current employer ko na nagkaltas saken ng 4k, do i need to get any docs from them as a proof na talagang hinulugan nila ung loan q? i have naman my payslip na kinakaltasan nila aq ng almost 2k every month. Thanks for the repls
DeleteThis refund will took you 3months siguro. Sobrang bagal ang SSS until now wala pa ung sa akin. Ipapadala daw sa bahay ung check..
Hi,
Thanks
Wala parin siya until now... 5months na nga e...
DeleteThis is very good info. I've never overpaid my SSS loans. I try my best to always check the balance but this is still helpful information for me just in case one of these days I do forget :)
ReplyDeletei have the same issue, i have sss loan overpayment so i went to sss yesterday to have it refunded but to my dismay the guy who assisted me who looked bored and not willing to help told me that it cant be refunded, that it will just be deducted to my next loan which i can make in 2014! i was so disappointed! so unfair!
ReplyDeleteNo that is not true.. they can refund that one. They have a special form for that. YOu should go back and this is your right. Tinatamad lng mga yan,
DeleteThis is a good information, i have also the same case and you know how much? 12K my HR deducted me for that over SSS Payment... :-( Thanks for this info.
ReplyDeletefrancis any update on what you did sa case na to?
DeleteOh my goodness I am so worried....My company didnt even bother to check that I already paid for my loan so when I resigned they deducted 12 k from me....Now the company said sorry we made a mistake...We will process a refund....Is it the same 5 month waiting process??
ReplyDeleteHi, wala parin siya until ow... sabi nila ibibgay daw in a form of cheque pero wla parin.. Hay...
DeleteThey will also need a letter from the member that you have over payment. Just so happen that my friend have a friend working at SSS and inform him that he need a letter and the print out.
ReplyDeleteIf they need a letter why they didnt informed me that nung tumawag ako sa kanila. Ang sabi nasa accounting parin daw..
DeleteHello UP! Were you able to get your check na by now? I'm wondering because I need to do what you did kasi.
DeleteThis is really helpful! You just answered my question!Thank u so much : D
ReplyDeleteHi, may process ba if we need kng yong overpaid amount sa next loan nalang ibabayad or automatic na?
ReplyDeleteMayroon.
Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy situation is kind of different. I have a loan that will end by Aug 2013. I have stop the deduction from my pay this month of aug. bec I applied a new loan which was approved last aug 1. The new check has a deduction of 3 months as a balance from my previous loan but I have been deducted consistently per month and our company is consistent if remitting our payments monthly. Therefore, I have overpaid 2 months for they have deduction the 3 months from my new check. What should I do for our company HR said I would need to talk to SSS. I think I need a copy of my companies remittances til aug 10 since they remit per 10th of the month and the copy of the check and the statement of balance from their site. Anybody knows anybody in SSS who can help without red tape...
ReplyDeleteYan po ba ung Application to Overpayment to the Current Loan?
ReplyDeleteI see pwede pala talaga irefund. But before reading this blog nakita ko na nga rin ung disclosure ng SSS with regards to Loan overpayment, na ikakaltas daw on your next loan. I do have an overpayment, and good thing pwede na ko mag loan. I'll keep an eye kung talagang ibabawas nila ung overpayment ko.
ReplyDeleteCont...
ReplyDeleteAng mahirap baka ung company namin, maningil na naman ng sobra, neglecting na the paid amount out of my overpayment sa previous loan... Sana hindi...
bagal talaga
ReplyDeletethey should updated on posting our payment monthly especially on loan payment, lalo na ngayon meron ng early renewal ang nangyayari nagkakaroon ng overpayment dahil late ang posting...approved ang loan mo at 50 % deduction sa balance pero ang actual na naibayad mo ay 14 months na....sayang yung two months na sana kasama sa loan amount na makukuha mo....kaso parang dagdag bawas yata....
ReplyDeletehi! Any update regarding your overpayment? Im worried about mine. My aunt works as an auditor in SSS headoffice but she doesnt want to answer my questions about loan overpayments :(
ReplyDeleteWalang update until now. I have a new loan na 2nd loan wala parin update kung ma process pa yang cheque nayan.
ReplyDeleteSame problem,, my request was received last November 18, 2013, 4 months na sya up to now wala pa din, tumawag ako sa branch ang sabi yung request na daw ng January 2014 and pinoprocess nila, so it means wala yung sakin I ask them to verify wala daw name ko list nila so nag aantay lang pala ako sa wala....
ReplyDeleteAny updates on your case?
